Crafty Fox Xmas Market @ The Dogstar in Brixton
The Dogstar Pub in Brixton was transformed into this amazing Crafty Fox Xmas Market on Sunday. I was designated the sofa area which turned out to be great. The only regret was that the constant stream of customers coming in meant that I couldn't get away to look at the other amazing stalls! Managed to buy some great tape from a lovely lady called Zeena very inspirational with what she does. Also my lovely craft friend Miwa Vicary was situated opposite so we had lots of lovely in between chats whilst looking at her amazing fabric tea cups and collars!

We Make London Xmas event at Battersea Arts Centre
Such a high standard of sellers this year at We Make London's Christmas event. The hall was very impressive and the stalls enjoyed some carol singers on the stage. I met a lovely lady called Rebecca from Biba's Tea Party, we shared a stall and our tea time theme worked really well together. I had to buy some of her amazing London 2012 paperchains, lets hope there are many street parties to look forward to with the Olympics and the Queen's Jubilee!
Vintage Tea Party and Gift Xmas Fair 3.12.2011
The festivities started at the Vintage Tea Party and Gift Xmas Fair on 3rd December 2011. It was such a cosy event with the aroma of mulled wine and festive music. I couldn't resist having a Vintage style makeover by Pincurls and Pout ready for my Christmas Jumper party that evening!

The Museum Of Everything
Yesterday I visited London's famous department store Selfridges, the new hosts of The Museum Of Everything Exhibition4. I was a little concerned how it would work in a huge department store but the exhibition was far from disappointing. Exhibition 4 showcases the work of disabled artists from workshops around the world. These artists demonstrate their need to create.
Kid Koala Launch Party "Music to Draw To"
On Tuesday I went to the launch of Kid Koala's book and soundtrack Space Cadet hosted by Material at the Red Gallery on Rivington Street.
It was a refreshing evening where people were invited to draw, knit, write and generally create to the music Kid Koala was playing. It was a great turnout and the hot chocolate and cakes added to the chilled out atmosphere and the above drawing was one of many I managed to doodle that night.
Kid Koala is a world-renowned scratch DJ who has made a name for himself not only with his music, but also with his visual art. He has released three solo albums on Ninja Tune.

Vintage Tea Party & Gift Fair
Last Saturday I held a stall at the Vintage Tea Party & Gift Fair at the trendy Boogaloo pub in Highgate. Gina and I had so much fun in the friendly atmosphere that we almost forgot that we were supposed to be selling my Jilltydrawings tea towels and aprons! We even treated ourselves to an amazing vintage style makeover courtesy of Pincurls and Pout.

Oranges & Lemons
After holding a stall at Fifi's market on Sunday, I uploaded some of my new stock onto my Etsy shop. The apron above is celebrating the old English nursery rhyme and singing game "Oranges & Lemons" which refers to the bells of several churches, all within or close to the City of London.

Wednesday
Went to the pop up Festival of Stories in Coram Fields, London at the weekend. It was great! Lots of children's book characters and illustrators signing books. There were the creators of Rastamouse, Genevieve Webster and Michael De Souza singing 'nuff' tunes, Axel Scheffler, illustrator of the Gruffalo and I HAD to hang around for a cinnamon biscuit at a Moomin Tea party -I love Tove Jansson's magical characters! Ok, so I was the only adult there who didn't work at the event or had kids, but it was a great afternoon which confirmed to me how important illustration is in the world of children's books. It also reminded me that reading children's books when I was young was the start of my interest in illustration as a career.
Sunday
Jillty drawings stall
Just had a stall at the Soho Festival. Trade was a bit slow but it was a day full of entertainment from Raffle prizes and Pimms to Drag Queens and Adam Ant.

Floating Cinema Launched!
The event of Friday went really well and I was so surprised at the turn out. The boat looked amazing and it was really exciting to see the puff pattern and the boat name in the flesh. The cinema is free and open throughout the summer. For more info click here
